This podcast episode starts with Ed asking a startling question with an even more surprising answer. The purpose of the question is to expose a common problem among high achievers. The stark truth is—there’s actually a surprisingly simple solution for this problem. That solution, and some real world examples are covered in this podcast.

Many of us entrepreneurs don’t go a day without feeling inadequate, overwhelmed, frustrated, and confused. Does this sound like you? If so, it could be because you’ve got too much on your plate.

The joy and the curse of being an entrepreneur is having the ability to come up with idea after idea and the passion to go after each one with all your energy. The problem with this is that going after all our great ideas means never realizing the full potential of a single idea or project, which leads to those feelings of being overwhelmed and inadequate.

Tune in to start freeing yourself up!

In this episode, you will…

  • Hear how you can remove excess to reach important goals more quickly
  • Understand how friction-filled professional relationships slow you down
  • Discover how successful you could be if you stopped spreading yourself too thin

Have you taken a step back lately to ask yourself whether you’re making the best use of your time? We tend to get so caught up in marking things off the list that we forget to take time time to figure out if all the things on our list really belong there in the first place…

…and this is where unfocusing comes in.

Laser-focusing on actionable steps is an important part of growing your business, but what’s just as important (and rarely talked about) is the need to unfocus. Imagine how free you’d be for more important success-building steps if you let go of all the things that don’t need to be on your plate!

In this episode, you will…

  • Hear how saying “yes” to asks that don’t drive business can cost you productivity
  • Learn how short-term habits and activities can create long-term results
  • Understand that unfocusing is a powerful tool for ultimately increasing your productivity
  • Discover what modeling is, and how it can help you grow in your field
  • Realize that every decision comes with a cost
